Re: Help| how to disable MM's splash screen

I've copied pasted into the shortcut and keep getting:

The name "C:\Program Files MediaMonkey\MediaMOokey.exe / No Splash" specified in the target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct?

Very Confused? Anybody help please?

It looks good with a pale turquoise colour background.

Re: Toolbar Shortcuts

I've tried that and nothing happens and it doesn't show the things I wish to delete.

Toolbar Shortcuts

I note mention was given that they could be edited in 3.1 Anybody know how?

I want to delete: Podcasts. My Computor. Radio & Playlists.

I also seem unable to drag - move them to the top bar alongside the search section and the four show sections

Cheers.

Re: Typical BAD Programmers

Must be Vista you don't need an account with Monkey and it's easy to log in. Okay, a packet of peanuts comes in handy once in a while but no need for such sophistication as accounts. As for bad programmers. I haven't seen any on here nor have I heard of any mentioned in all the rave reviews that Mon...

Re: Typical BAD Programmers

I have to agree - Windows Vista is terrible and that's why its had a short life and the reason why Windows 7 is including XP emulation and why XP is still the favourite for the new notebooks.

Have a word with Bill.

Track Shorcuts e.g. Amazon

Is there any way to change the existing list to include for example "AllMusic" and delete those not used?

Cheers

Re: MediaMonkey on Lifehacker

It goes without saying that I'll vote for Monkey but I agree with the rest that MP3 tag is the best in the world. So small, so neat and brilliant at doing the job. It's really a little unfair to compare the two because they are not like for like. Anyway, when Monkey 4.2.5.8.00.7.5 comes out and make...

Re: Is album art embedded in mp3 file or?....

True my friend but I'm of the old school that when a thumbnail is alongside the album details that is enough. I'll leave Apple and J River to have all the fancy-nancy stuff. My swirling cup of tea offers enough excitement when listening to the likes of Chango Spasiuk. :D Bare neccesities - as Baloo ...

Re: CAN I PRINT THIS?

If you want it really simple do as I suggested. Export to HTML or if you have Microsoft Excel then export to Excel. You can then delete as many columns as you wish and even change the size, font and colours!

Re: Is album art embedded in mp3 file or?....

Brian. Get a free copy of the wonderful MP3 tag. It does everything including batching and embedding artwork. It also uses the Internet to check on titles. A wonderful tool. In fact it is truly marvellous! http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ I gave up years ago on trying to understand the mysteries of Monkey a...

Re: CAN I PRINT THIS?

Simple. Go to the left hand side - tree. Click on album/artists. You should then see the full list. Click on the list and press Ctrl + A together. This should highlight them all. Next go to File-Create Reports-HTML. Save as you wish. Open in browser and print from there or copy and then paste specia...

Doesn't Trip Of The Tongue Very Easily

I am of course talking about the new search engine - WolframAlpha. What a weird name? I think it is aimed at those who want to know how many days it has rained in Minnesota or Ottawa. Seems science based. When I searched for Media Monkey it came up with this: "Wolfram|Alpha isn't sure what to do wit...

Excel Export & Open Office. Tip

If you don't like Microsoft Excel and don't have it on your p.c. you will find that you can't create an Excel report because Monkey will say it can't find Excel. Here's what to do. Export your database as HTML and then use the superb, free Open Office calc spreadsheet. Simply copy the HTML data from...
