So, I'm new at this coding thing...will the above sections work pieced together, or is there more to it? I'd love to be able to extract the info as well, since I have all ape files - it'll be a bear to make mp3s of them and get the bpm from that, but I don't see another way around it, and I'd like t...

Playlist as album?

This has probably been asked before, but I must not have seached the right terms...is it possible to create a playlist from different album tracks, and make a virtual album from that? In other words, is it possible to have MM 2 (not 3) see the playlist as a album?

AutoPlaylist from Multiple Playlists

This has been brought up here before, but I can't seem to find if it's ever been resolved. I'd like to be able to make one playlist to call on other playlists...one random song from playlist 1, a random song from playlist 2, 3 random songs from playlist 3, etc... Again, I realize this has been discu...

But shouldn't it still take time to scan? When I click rescan with "analyze" checked, if I have a particular folder with, say 100 files, it rescans in no time at all. I have the right extensions selected and all of that...I just can't figure it out, unless it is the bitrate and MM already knows from...

If that's the case, mine should be working, and isn't since I know I have multiple duplicate files with different names. I'm still not sure what I'm doing wrong since I'm trying to follow the instructions to the proverbial "T"...

That makes sense. I thought it was just looking at the audio data and file size alone.

Right, I understand that, but when I get there there's nothing there in the main window, and checking the "analyze..." box and rescanning doesn't add anything.

I do have it checked; I apologize, I just called it the wrong thing. I don't have the option to update info from tags turned on - does it have to be for this to work? And I'm not seeing any options under files to edit/duplicate content either by right clicking or anything. Does this only work in Gol...

Duplicate Content Question

Mainly, how do I get it to work? If I select a folder with known duplicates with different names, and check "Analyze Files For Duplicate Content" and rescan, it does a quick rescan and that's it - nothing is showing up in the Duplicate Content place on the tree. Any ideas how as to what I might be d...

That's probably what I'll do, but I was hoping to find a way to not have to recompress the files, and be able to only apply pitch changes per track...a plug in would be across the board, I guess, since not all the tracks are the same variance. Just curious!

Per Track Pitch Control

I'd like to be able to variably change the sampling rate for each track to compensate for pitch problems in files; I tried just changing the rate recorded in the database, but it didn't affect the speed of playback. Is this feasible?

But I guess that wouldn't be able to take advantage of the volume adjusting feature, so that would defeat my purpose....really, what I'm after is a way to keep holiday songs in a different database, but be able to pull them in when I want to mix them in without making them a permanent part of the "m...

Sooo...is there any way to import an m3u playlist without the songs actually being in the current database? I'm trying to figure out a way to have two databases, and be able to save a playlist from one and open in the other without actually putting the files into the second database. Is this possible?

Either way. What I'm really after is a way to just tell it to pick out 80 minutes or less of music from certain genres or a playlist even and put it in a playlist by itself to burn to CD. I could just do it by randomizing the "now playing" playlist in MM, but even though I get the option of making a...

Random playlists CD length?

I'd like to be able to make a random playlist based on either another playlist or genre and have it come up with - randomly - enough tracks to fill a CD-R. Is there a way to do this? It might be as plain as day, but I haven't been able to figure it out...Thanks!
