Re: [SOLVED] Windows XP Catastrophic Failure?

This maybe a stupid question, but I shall ask it anyway. If Discogs Tagger has,in effect, made itself incompatible with XP, is there anyway to downgrade the tagger, i.e. to download the previous version that did and was compatible with XP? I don't want this to sound like I'm being 'anti' Media Monke...

Re: Discogs Tagger 5.45 (Updated: 2016-11-21)

Hi crap_inhuman, This is really odd. At your request I have attempted to send you the log file, in fact I have tried to send it to you three times, but...despite the forum advising me that the "message has been sent successfully", all three messages seem stuck in my outbox. It appears I am unable to...

Re: Discogs Tagger 5.45 (Updated: 2016-11-21)

Hi, Please Post the Artist and album you tried! Thank you Thanks for your reply crap_inhuman - good name by the way!!! As it shows in the screen dumps, one was Dr. Feelgood "Primo" and "Greatest Hits", but I also tried Adam & The Ants, plus Jane Wiedlin to ensure that it wasn't just related ...

Re: Discogs Tagger 5.45 (Updated: 2016-11-21)

Hello, I hope someone can help me with this situation: Media Monkey opens without any error messages at all; The Amazon Tagger works, and the blank white window now has visible data and graphics in it, BUT...Discogs Tagger is still screwed. I have tried with three different artists and bands and get...

Re: Catastrophic Failure?

Thanks MMFrLife, yes some progress indeed! :D

Looks like I.E. has been largely at fault - what a surprise!

At your suggestion, I have created a thread within the Addons section of the forum, but will leave the question open here also, in case anyone has potential solutions for it.

Cheers.

Re: Catastrophic Failure?

Thanks for your replies Lowlander and MMFrLife, and what have turned out to be very useful references to I.E. Before attempting to carry out the debug, or download the latest version of Media Monkey, I uninstalled both versions of it, and tested I.E., and received that horrible error message that on...

Re: Catastrophic Failure?

Okay, I think things are actually getting worse! After discussion with MMFrLife, I decided to install Discogs Tagger this afternoon. You will see from this three-barrelled screen shot http://imgur.com/a/kp2WL what happens, as I have been describing: 1. The blank white Tagging Window with nothing in ...

Re: Catastrophic Failure?

What evidence do you have that convinces you it's actually tagging behind the scene, even if it doesn't show in results? After I close the 'tagging' window and go back to the actual file, I notice data is filled in that wasn't previously, and on those files I was working on when I first started hav...

Re: Catastrophic Failure?

I think we're talking about the same area, perhaps I should submit a screen capture for absolute clarfication, but I am convinced that there are results and that Media Monkey is finding, and tagging them, i just cannot see them in the 'preview' screen' f you like! There is a double unfortunate here ...

Re: Catastrophic Failure?

I wasn't going to tell you this as it makes it sound more complicated, but the bottom third of the tag box, where you get the text, identifying artist, title, album, etc, where one can actually place a tick next to the data, that does show correctly, but the box above that doesn't. It is where one w...

Re: Catastrophic Failure?

Ok, that's the "Auto-Tag from Web" window. When it's white, it doesn't say anything like, "No Results..." Will it not let you select anything? And you do have the latest version .1830? Okay, fine. No, the area where one would normally see "No Results...", to the left of the "Search" & "Options" but...

Re: Catastrophic Failure?

If you like the window within the window! One presses CTRL+L for the tagging window to appear, search bar at the top, search and options buttons to the right, immediately underneath that is the window where Artist, Title, Artwork, Year, Record Label can be seen, so you can check all the details are ...
