Re: Error message while ripping CD

I had a similar problem again today while ripping, using Windows 7 and build 3.2. Tools | Options | General | User-friendly masks was checked. To fix it I had to reset the destination in Rip CD window to end with <Filename> eg. C:\Users\Master\Music\myartistname\myalbumname\<Filename> Hope this help...

Re: Error message while ripping CD - FIXED

All sorted thanks to awesome and persistently brilliant help from Steve and most especially Pavle from technical support. Pavle worked out that Tools | Options | General | User-friendly masks had become unchecked. We checked it and the problem disappeared. Mediamonkey tech support is great and so is...

http://www.tipandtrick.net/2008/how-to- ... -in-vista/ An excellent resource Nohitter, although it has not affected any of my file protection issues. Unless you've any other suggestions I'll dig around further OR wait until WIndows 7 next week!!! However, I'm back on track now with MediaMonkey, so ...

Re: Error message while ripping CD

This path is not correct for windows Vista. Strange - it's Media Monkey "out of the box" - surprised they'd not spotted that. You need to update your Temporary directory in the MM options (Tools > Options > general) to a path that you can access from your limited vista user account, like: C:\Users\...

Re: Locate new MP3s in Mediamonkey - not tagged?

First, thanks for your prompt help! First of all MediaMonkey can create playlists of newly added tracks under Tools > Options > Tags & Playlists. That's a handy tip - thanks!! I can use that to find the new tracks, edit the properties using Auto-tag from filename as below. As for using the filename ...

Locate new MP3s in Mediamonkey - not tagged?

Must be something I've missed about mediamonkey. When I have a bunch of new mp3s eg. something I've downloaded, I want to incorporate them into Mediamonkey so I can put them on my iPod. It was obvious what the tracks were when I started using Mediamonkey as it started off empty. But now I've got a f...

Synch modifications of playlist to ipod

Is there a way to Synch modifications of playlist, (eg. the new addition of a new song to the playlist) to an ipod without recopying the entire playlist each time? Eg. to add a song to a 50 song playlist, I'd like to just copy over the new song and have it appear in the playlist and not copy over 51...

yes, I'm getting the hang of it now. It's just so different from how I expected it to work. One more question at the moment: If I change the order of a playlist and then synchronize the playlist to the iPod, MM copies each track in the playlist one by one to the iPod which takes a while. Is this rea...

very basic questions about managing playlists on a iPod

I want to use MediaMonkey to manage playlists on my iPod Nano. So specific questions: 1. How do I drag a tune onto an existing iPod playlist created earlier with Itunes on the Nano - I just get a black circle with a line through showing it's not allowed. 2. How do I drag and drop tunes on an existin...

Copy playlists to iPod Nano?

I'm tearing my hair out here! How do I copy a playlist to my iPod? I like to have half a dozen playlists on the iPod for different purposes but find that although I can use MediaMonkey to copy files to the iPod I don't seem able to copy the playlists over.

thanks
