Re: help moving tracks

I store my music on a network drive which has slow access. So I rip my collection to a local drive then move it at my leisure. I too use a NAS (just recently) and successfully migrated all files. I tested ripping locally and then transferring to the NAS and ripping directly to the NAS, Your results...

I thought one just had to replace the file n_flac.dll with the new version 1.1.3. I did that and ripped 1 track as a test and the tag reports that this track was encoded with v1.1.2. Can someone check theirs for the same result. Should I be something more than just copying the file?

Import playcounts from iTunes

I'm looking for some feedback from those users who have imported from iTunes - more specifically as it relates to playcounts. I don't use iTunes but I'm exploring the possibility of using it in conjunction with my Roku SoundBridge. When performing a rescan does the option to import playcounts from i...

I have not tested it on UNC paths, because I don't have any at home, but it should work just as well. Please can you try this version, which will create a debug log - can you please it to me? Thanks for the email, the problem is with case - I'll post a non-case-sensitive version shortly. Yeah, I'm ...

I don't understand what's wrong. This script should (and does for me) create relative paths, ie: ..\Rod Stewart\Greatest Hits\Rod Stewart - Maggie May.mp3 Is this not what you want? BTW: This is not really my script, I've just been trying to add relative paths, as requested. Unfortunately not. When...

I'm wondering if this is something to do with case sensitivity. This script is case sensitive and in your M3U the paths start with... \\MSS-HDD\ ...whereas you told me your path started with... \\Mss-hdd\ ...can you try it again and make sure you get the case the same - does this work? Good catch. ...

I've posted the results of one of the playlists exported. As you can see the script still includes the full relative path. #EXTM3U #EXTINF:162,The Who - Squeeze Box \\MSS-HDD\Public\Our Music\Who\Then And Now\The Who - Squeeze Box.mp3 #EXTINF:202,The Who - Magic Bus [Original Stereo Version] \\MSS-H...

Hi Trix, Thanks for the quick reply. Tried the modified script this morning and it appears to hang at the point where the path to the track is created/written. I had to terminate MM through task manager. Upon examination it created the playlist file and the contents where just: #EXTM3U #EXTINF:368,T...

I have another suggestion for this script. Like a poster in another thread I have just integrated a Roku SoundBridge into my stereo system. This script works great for exporting all the playlists as it's designed. With the ability to enter the path to export M3U's to one can select a path that the m...

I for one would vote for the moderators to remove these Guest's posts as they serve no purpose, force members to wade through a bunch of crap to pick out useful tidbits about using a particular script and overall cast a poor light on the forum as a whole. To me they might as well be spam.

Thanks for the update to resolve the BrowseByArt incompatibility.

Sorry, I wasn't logged-in (an oversight) when I posted a few messages ago as Guest. I'm looking forward to checking out your script.

Daniel, if you don't mind could you just confirm for me that I'm running this script right with MusicIP. The reason I ask is probably more to do with MusicIP then your script. 1. Launch MusicIP and start the API Service. 2. Confirm its running on http://localhost:10002/ 3. Activate MusicMagicDJ scri...

Downloaded the first component in the link you posted - wasn't sure if I needed the others. That though didn't appear to help. I either get the same error or the image that is displayed when viewed via the tag is blank but your comment is there with the non-existent art. Am I doing the steps right -...
