Improve moving folders

In the Files window, Windows Explorer can list all of the subfolders that belong to a given folder along with the files that belong to that folder. This is very convenient in moving or copying folders. You can highlight a subfolder, scroll to the folder that you want to move or copy it to, and then ...

Add "Date of recording" tag to MP3s

I have a lot of live shows and old time radio shows. A critical component for each is performance date. That is the key element that I need to determine if two files refer to the same thing. As far as I can tell, MM does not support the "Date of recording" tag specified in the ID3 standard (http://w...

Enhanced tag and file rename capability

The "Auto-tag from filename" and "Auto-rename files" functions are very good, but they don't solve all of my renaming needs. It would be nice if MM could provide the following: 1) Rename tags based on tag info (using regex if possible) 2) Rename files based on file info (using regex if possible). Ba...

Misleading error message when trying to play dead link

I receive a misleading error message, "Please insert CD," when trying to play a dead link, even if the file is (and always was) on my hard drive. (I didn't realize that it was a dead link at the time I tried to play it.)

Not a big deal, but it did confuse me for a short time.

MP3 file silent until fast forwarded

I have a set of files that I downloaded that are silent until I advance them a little bit; then they play fine. I cannot play any of them from the beginning. They play OK in other players such as Winamp. Here is their file information: Bitrate: 256 Frequency: 44 100 Stereo: Yes File size: 15300776 V...

My Computer node: Ctrl-X & Ctrl-V don't work moving fold

When moving folders in the My Computer node, Ctrl-X and Ctrl-V don't work. Clicking Cut and Paste in the right-click context menu items does work, but not their shortcuts.

My Computer node: Optional display mode

The My Computer node was very confusing to me when I was evaluating MM. I was expecting it to display the MP3 ID3 information, but it was showing me things that I could not see in other ID3 editors. Also, I couldn't figure out which fields to change because I didn't know what was there to begin with...

However, the software could check to see if it has enough space for the operation ahead of time. Also, there could be some sort of error trap that the program could intercept, depending on the programming language and the methods being used. I program for a living and "Sorry, can't fix that" would b...

I had the same problem but figured out the solution. This happened to me when I was tagging files on a disk with very low free disk space. The files I was tagging had no ID3 tags at all, so I suspect that MM has to write the tagged file to a temporary file, delete the original and rename the tempora...

The bug does not only affect monitored files. I do not have the Gold version (yet), and I got that message too. Sorry I don't have have more details about exactly when it happened, but it was probably during a rename or autotag operation.
