Edit files, splitting files

Post by Jon Fosse » Mon Oct 22, 2007 7:23 am

Dear Friends, can anyone tell if it is possible to split files in MM?
Sometimes when I record my Old Vinul albums in to my computer, the autosplit doesn't work due to "scraches" and the noise level of it. Is it then possible in MM to split files when i have 2 songs in 1 file?
Thank you,

You would be better off to download the free audio editing program, Audacity, and split them with that, and there's lots of other things you can do with it as well. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

If your files are already encoded in MP3, use a dedicated MP3 splitter tool. Audacity works, but a dedicated tool avoids decoding/recoding the file.

Some suggest using MPRDirectCut.
