Hey Guys,
I was wondering if you could help me out with this one.
I did a bit of searching but did not find anything on this so here goes.
Lately I have been organizing my library around the <Album Artist> tag so that I could consistently organize my folders on my computer. I am just trying to avoid having more than one folder per album.
Anyways, I still use the <Artist> tags but to basically have a list of the people that are featured on the track so that it is search-able on the library.
What I am trying to do now is have the MediaMonkey Player display the <Album Artist> tag instead of the <Artist> tag when playing music. Sounds simple but I have not quite found out how to modify the player like that.
Can I just modify the code on the MediaMonkey Player to change what tags/values it displays? Or has somebody already done this?
Thanks in advance.

open player.ini and search for TextMask=%A (this shows Artist name) and change this to TextMask=%R (this shows AlbumArtist)

Sweet, I have one quick question though.DreadM wrote:Greetings

Where is player.ini, I found mediamonkey.ini in application data, and the one in program files. The one in application data seems to have masks, but not text mask. I am using the Casino Orange skin if that makes any difference.

You have to hack into the Casino orange skin. Close MM, go to C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Skins. Rename Casino Orange.msz to Casino Orange.zip. Unzip the file. Inside, you'll find player.ini, that is where you'll make the change.Viabobed wrote:Sweet, I have one quick question though.DreadM wrote:Greetings

Save it, then re-zip the folder and change the extension to .msz. You may also want to change the name of the skin from Casino Orange.msz because the next time you install MM Casino Orange.msz will be replaced by the default Casino skin with the installer.
