Random junk in comment field

Post by Pugglewuggle »

Hi,

I've got a quick question. I've noticed this in the past but it's really bugging me since I created a filter that shows all non-null comments and there are almost 1500 files listed with info such as this in the comment field:

00001052 00001649 000031EC 00003DC2 000186B7 000186B7 00007CB5 00007A6F 0001FBE7 0001FBE7

The tracks play okay and all album art is good, it's just that this weirdness is in the comment field. The number is different for every track. Does this indicate corruption? Does it have something to do with using MM alongside WMP (WMP automatically messes with all files in the Windows 7 "library", which happens to be where my MM music is)? Any ideas?

I think that is related to iTunes (it puts it in when calculating volume levels or something along those lines).

It's also the EQ settings that iTunes lets you apply to each track.

Hmm that's odd. I don't think I've ever used iTunes with these tracks. Either way, if that's how iTunes handles it, Apple really needs to get a grip on things and actually do it the right way.

Thanks!
