Hide mp3 version if flac version is present

Post by diegovar » Fri Jul 09, 2010 5:13 pm

Hi, I have a use case that I don't know if it is possible with MM. I sometimes have more than one version of the same album, usually a flac version which I listen to in MM and an mp3 version which I sync to my iPod. The problem is that in my MM library, when I sort according to Artist and Album I get the following layout

Song 1 flac version
Song 1 mp3 version
Song 2 flac version
Song 2 mp3 version
Song 3 flac version
Song 3 mp3 version
...

If I just play the first one, I have to manually skip the second version with each track, and I'd like to avid that.
Is there any way of using library filters and views to specify a rule that hides a song in mp3 format if a song exists with the same artist, album, title and track number in flac format?

Thanks

Diego

Nope. A better solution would be to get MM gold so you can convert the flac tracks to mp3 on the fly to your ipod. Then you only have one set of tracks to manage.
