Problems with Vodcasts

Since a few days I have problems with Vodcasts = Podcasts videos subscriptions
Not sure if it is related to my migration from MM3 to MM4 beta (now using build 1397), but that migration was also a couple of days ago.
I often get the error message that there was a problem, I see the URL, then: format=XML, then: Unknown Protocol.
Before I used the same subscription, went smooth.
And also: when I want to add a new subscription, it is not accepted. Same error message.

What is so strange: I have four vodcasts that all use the same protocol, all are editions of the Dutch NOS news tv:
- The 7am news was added before and still runs ok
- The 8pm news was added before and now often doesn't download
- The 10pm news was added before and now often doesn't download
- The Youth News bulletin cannot be added

Any explanation and solution?

http://feeds.nos.nl/journaal?format=xml is working here on 1397. 8PM downloaded, 10PM doesn't exist though. What is the URL for the jeugdjournaal?

wow... you even find my news station (i worked for it)... so fast
If you are able and willing to test the ones below as well, I would appreciate that a lot!

with the following one i sometimes have problems, sometimes not - can you also test it:
http://feeds.nos.nl/journaal20uur?format=xml

The following one was never used in iTunes or MM3, tried to add it to MM4 but no success:
http://feeds.nos.nl/vodcasts_jeugdjournaal?format=xml

And this one got NEVER accepted by MM3 or 4 - but in iTunes it always worked smoothly. And I verified the URL on their website. It IS correct. Any reason for refusal?
http://feeds.feedburner.com/tros/LvEs

PS:
Sorry, i don't know how to make links here...
PS II:
I now see that after saving/sending the links are automatically generated

Journaal and EenVandaag work here, the JeugdJournaal feed doesn't, but it also fails when opening in the browser. This feed does work for the JeugdJournaal: http://feeds.nos.nl/vodcast_jeugdjournaal

So strange.
For ME EĆ©nVandaag and Jeugdjournaal do not work: Unknown Protocol reported.
How is that possible where you and me both use same url and MM4.1397?

Check in your browser if the URL's work. There could be connection issues to the sites from where you are.

By any chance do you know of other Dutch show vodcasts or a good place to find them?

The URLs do work in my browser, i.e. I get to the point where I can click on the RSS symbol with 'View XML'.
Then, if I do that, the MM-vodcast subscription box opens, with the URL pasted (including 'format=xml') and the error message: Unknown Protocol.
In iTunes I didn't use Jeugdjournaal podcast yet but I did use EenVandaag, without any problem.
And also: the three other vodcasts (Journaal 7 + 20 + Nieuwsuur) have no problems. Before I THOUGHT they had, but that wasn't true. it was a matter of settings: only 1 download at a time possible.

As to Dutch vodcasts: apart from what NOS News and EenVandaag offer I don't know any. Did check out a few other current affair programs, they do offer streaming video but often capturing/downloading/vodcasting not possible - often for copyright reasons, that is what I am told.
The best sites for streaming video are www.uitzendinggemist.nl (public tv) and www.rtl.nl/xl/#/gemist/ (commercial tv).
They offer the option to view 'missed broadcasts' online.
Is my assumption correct that you are of Dutch background? Your fast find of EenVandaag and Jeugdjournaal suggests it - and so does your nickname The Flying Lowlander... ;)

I know of uitzendinggemist, but unfortunately I'm looking into vodcasts as those can be streamed to the TV which is much more convenient. And yes I'm of Dutch background.

How Dutch, still?
Kun je nog Nederlands spreken en verstaan, lezen en schrijven?

Maybe there ARE more vodcasts, but I don't know any.
You could try www.nos.nl to see what NOS Sports has to offer.
And for the rest: just try the indiviual sites of the individual broadcasters in the very complex Dutch broadcasting system.
You know them all? :)
If so, then you deserve an Award! ;)

Ja, ik kan nog steeds Nederlands spreken.

I know, the Dutch broadcasting system is a mess, but the number of broadcasters is supposed to be reduced. uitzendinggemist does a real good job getting things together for public television, but just in online streaming, and the commercial stations aren't that interesting.
Sports tends to be more tricky due to rights which is why het Journaal is cut during the Olympic Games and World/Euro cup.

The point is that I'm looking to get things in vodcast format so that I can have MediaMonkey download it and stream it to TV's as I never feel too inclined to watch TV behind the computer.

Yes, under the pressure of very heavy budget cuts the broadcasters are forced to cooperate or even merge - but I still have to see the result.
The system has certainly its advantages, but the disadvantages are bigger - I know from the inside, coz I worked 25 years for public tv, mostly NOS.

Do you receive BVN tv there? You know it?
24 hours per day Dutch speaking (NL/Vlaanderen) tv from the public broadcasters.
Free to air, you just need a satellite dish and decoder.

I'm not entirely sure about BVN, I know the US gets it, but we're on cable anyway on which it isn't available.

Ask your local satellite dish shop - they will know it.
The coverage is world wide, a package of 12 hours will be broadcast 2x in 24 hours so that everyone in every area can see it during his daytime.
www.bvn.nl has more information about contents and technical requirements.

since this bvn and dutch vodcast discussion is a spin-off of my initial problem:
you think you can still be of any help in explaining while the urls work in my browser (and 1 f them earlier also in itunes) but the MM doesnt recognize them?

Did you try opening the Podcast URL's themselves in the browser?
