H:\1mm\Leo Tolstoy - Anna Karenina

Funny thing is , my directory structure hasn't changed, so i wondered why album artist isn't parsed anymore."Sizzly"]I've found the auto population of the album artist tag to be a bit... unreliable on import if you don't import it using the structure of /<album>/<artist> - <title> or a similar variant. If MM can't determine the album through the metadata or interpolation it will leave that field blank. The good news is that once a track is in MM it does a brilliant job (except on compilations) of auto populating that field when you make edits to the properties of the track.
i use MM for audiobooks, alas, no autotag from web for books.....I usually just use autotag from web so I can get the album art and that seems to address the issue.
i set: "use tags then inferred properties" now album artist is read again. So this solved the problemLowlander wrote:Infer File Properties auto-guesses tags based on filename and thus can be unreliable, however Tools > Auto-Tag from Filename is the manual variant that allows the user to define how the folder/filenames are configured: http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... lename/4.0
PS. The Auto-guessing rules of Infer File Properties are defined in the ini and can be modified there.
This was the solution ,ini change is persistent now, thanksPeke wrote:MMW needs to be closed before you edit INI outside MM.
