Flac track will not play

Post by Bill » Sun Dec 15, 2013 3:54 pm

When using MM 3, I would sometimes create an MP3 file from one of my Flac files. Then, I would rate the MP3 file as one star. So the only difference between the two files was the file type and the rating tag. Also, the paths were identical except for the file type (mp3/flac). I had no problem playing these files with MM3. When I installed MM4, the flac files in the situation just described will not play. Nothing happens when I try to play them. However, when I play the MP3 file, it plays just fine.

Thanks for any help with this problem.

Try opening the FLAC file from Windows Explorer in MediaMonkey. Does it still fail to play?

Nothing changed. Is it possible to upload one of these flac files to the forum so someone can look at it?
