i have been trying to move from my standard install (v4) to a portable install without success (covered in other topics).
one thing i noticed is that because the instructions call for copying the existing mm.db from the standard to the portable install, the portable install includes all of the locations from the standard install, even though i am not using them and i only want the portable install to see one location on the usb flash drive that the portable install is on.
i have deleted them on the target usb flash but had various issues
per the screenshot, the only folder i am using and monitoring now is on hd:dismedia-media (f:).
so i want to delete the unused locations (c: and lccseh) from the standard install.
is this ok to do?
do i just right - click on the location and select Remove ?
can i delete "locations"? what is the best way?

Yes, right click on the locations in the Music > Location node and Remove. Do make sure you no longer have them selected in the Add/Rescan Files dialog as that will add them back on scanning.
