Hallo MM-User,

Wie kann man mit MM gerippte CD's, als wav-Dateien gespeichert, mit MM in das MM Audio-Format ape umwandeln?

Nutze MM schon längere Zeit, (Goldversion auf Lebenszeit, aktuelle Version 3.2.01294)

Seltsamerweise sind bei mir im Menü "Extras-Songs konvertieren" als einstellbare Formate MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, FLAC - aber nicht das gewünschte ape-Format.

Kann mir da jemand einen entscheidenden Tipp geben?

i believe you can get an ape plug in from the addons download page of mediamonkey's.
not sure if it will allow you to convert to ape with mediamonkey?

i remember that the program cdex ripper will convert to ape. not sure if it still does or not?

APE encoding is not available in MM.

zunächst erst mal ein herzliches Dankeschön für eure Antworten!

Peke, du schreibst, dass es mit MM keine Möglichkeit gibt, files im/ins ape Format zu rippen/ konvertieren.

Mir ist dabei allerdings unverständlich, weil dieses Format ein MM-eigenes Format/ Produkt ist, das sogar in der "Hilfe" als "Monkey's Audio (APE)" mit mehreren anderen Formaten genannt und als verlustfrei (Effizienz der Kompression ca. 55%) genannt wird.

rovingcowboy meint, das es im Downloadbereich von MM eine Möglichkeit geben könnte.
Hab hier schon mal nachgeschaut aber nichts relevantes gefunden.

Zur Bearbeitung von Musikfiles nutze ich das (ebenfalls gekaufte) Programm "WavePad Audio Editor" WavePad v 3.13 von NCH Software http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/de/index.html
Dieses kann Musikfiles (auch im Batchjob) ins ape-Format speichern, die dann Problemlos von MM gelesen werden.

(Ich will hiermit übrigens keine Werbung für irgendein Programm machen!)

Allerdings ist das immer noch keine (MM)-direkte Möglichkeit der gewünschten Datenspeicherung.

vielleicht kennt ja noch jemand in de MM-Fan-Gemeinde einen Weg?!

yes i agree with you henry.

there should be a direct way to convert to ape in mediamonkey, since it is a popular format.
but as nohitter151 has said ape is not made by the developers of mediamonkey, so there will
have to be some conversations between the ape developers and the mediamonkeys developers
to see if they will allow the auto converting to take place inside the mediamonkey program.

but that is not to say that a script author can not make a plugin to allow mediamonkey to convert to ape by the plugin features.

Althru I agree with Henry. I must disagree regarding APE format which starts to be much less popular than FLAC and do not support Multi Chanel HD Audio formats (Maybe I'm Wrong), along with some tagging support messes regarding APEv2 tags like Album art and finally Hardware device and standalone players support.

Never the less APE encoding is on out To-do list for some time now, so we are not ignoring it.
