Looking for good 80's compilations :)

Post by tooone7 »

Hi there all,

I have a Nokia Comes with music device and am addicted to downloading new music!

I already have tons of rock, movie scores, pop and others. What I want and need is good 70's 80's and 90's music.

I don't know much artists from this period I know a few like:

Indecent Obsession - Kiss Me
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Have You Ever Seen the Rain
Baltimora - Tarzan Boy
Cutting Crew - (I Just) Died In Your Arms
Def Leppard - Love Bites
Roxette - Joyride
Roxette - Fading Like A Flower
Men Without Hats - Pop Goes the World

Can anyone suggest some compilation CD's like these? I don;t know what to look/search for as I know only the tunes not the artists or titles :( I just hear them on the radio sometimes.

Hope my un-comprehensive list is good enough.

Thanks to anyone who tries to help :)

one of the best i have ever managed to find would have to be "like, omigod!- the 80's pop culture box". Should be easy to find on the usual places you would look. Enjoy!!!!

I have tons of 80's stuff. My favorite sets:
* Living In Oblivion (5 volumes)
* Just Can't Get Enough: New Wave Hits of the 80's (15 Volumes + Halloween)

Also look at the soundtracks for "Gross Point Blank" and "The Wedding Singer". There are two volumes for each movie.

Hi,

Have a look at the listings for the 80s in the 100 Hits compilations. Creedence Clearwater Revival was in the 70s.

Thanks for the replies :)

I can't find those albums on Nokia Music though :)

I only get a 'New Wave Club Hits of the 80's' and '80's Pop Culture'

None of those you guys mentioned.

Thanks for helping though and if you can think of more just let me know :)

Edit: I got 'Top 40 Hits Of The '80s & '90s (Re-Recorded / Remastered Versions)' from Nokia Music. Hope its good :)

I purchased the 80’s & 90’s SanDisk slotRadio card [ http://sandisk.com/products/slotradiopr ... ard-80s90s ] which contains 1000 songs. And the Classic Rock card too.

Sound quality is excellent, only drawback is that it's impossible to rip/copy songs from the cards, nor select/choose tracks to play.
The only method would be to plug the device to PC and record tracks as they play. Tedious job, and must take note of each playing artist/title to tag them later...

Maybe I'll do it once I have free time :~)
