seems like a log was generated by dbgview. What is the best way to submit?

See instructions, Zip the output from DBGView and attach to a support ticket.

Hi outlandis,

Thanks for trying to get us the info. To clarify--did you do step 4b from http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=6&t=341 ?

i.e.
- Download the DbgView application from: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysi ... s/bb896647
- Execute DbgView.
- Execute MediaMonkey.exe and try to reproduce the bug with a small set of Tracks.
- You'll see logs being generated in DbgView (if not try running DBGView as Administrator). Save the log messages from DbgView to a file if necessary.

That'll give us the information needed to figure out why this is happening.

Thanks!

I updated to iOS 8 and lost my album artwork. I haven't tried syncing with MM yet fearing I will lose the songs too. The playlists etc seem to be fine.

Anyone else get this?

outlandis wrote:Ok. ran it again and I get an odd error message

first pop up box says "Error: Canvas does not allow drawing"

when I click OK on that I get "Thread creation error. there is not enough memory to perform this operation"
then MM shuts down.

any thoughts?
Getting the same thing. Im sure mm team is working on this now that ios 8 is out.

I uploaded my debug log, mm crashes a different times trying to sync with ios 8 sometimes 400 songs in, sometimes 150. Debug log wont be helpful it doesnt look like much info is showing.

MM itself shows something about flac codec.dll issue eventually

then "Thread creation error. there is not enough memory to perform this operation"

Hopefully MM team is testing this and looking at it themselves because i dont think you will find much info in user debug logs. Due to the large filespace required for ios 8 without using itunes many of us had to delete our music and now we cant sync it back.

Btw after syncing some files before it crashes its like MM has no idea after the crash it synced any music already, and then starts from the begining while alerting me i dont have any file space (because it already synced up to 400 songs prior and is now acting like it has not synced anything).

The team really needs to test this for themselves now that ios8 is out to get an idea whats happening, sometimes it just shuts down even without warning during this.

For every crash send the captured log from DBGView to support: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... ets/Submit

Hi,

iPhone 4S on iOS8

I did a quick test of the latest beta build 1713. I highlighted a playlist with 267 songs in it and did a SendTo to my iPhone. MM crashed at some point and unloaded. It did transfer 212 out of the 267 songs. I don't remember if the playlist should show up in the iPhone but with this test it did not. I will setup the logger for next time.

Thanks to the MM team for responding so quickly to the new iOS!

Did another quick test and the playlist sync'd completely, and the playlist was listed under playlists on the iPhone. However, when I sync'd iTunes/iPhone all the songs were wiped out. Yes, Sync Music is unchecked in iTunes for the iPhone.

I tried to sync as well and the playlist shows but without any songs :(

Also, when MM opens up, it gives me a warning that the "iphone/ipod firmware is not compatible w/ this version of MM. you'll be able to view the contents of the device, but will not be able to write to it".

Any fix/tip?

Thank.s

Send debug logs (step 4b) capturing these issues to support so the developers can look into why this is happening: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... f=12&t=341
