Associating jscript scripts with hotkeys

I am writing a set of scripts that I will associate with the buttons of a remote control unit. My scripts are all in jscript. In attempting to assign a script to a hotkey I ran into difficulties because, apparently, MM assumes they are vb scripts despite their .js extensions and the fact that they are registered in the Scripts.ini file where the language in which they are written is unambiguously specified. I suspect this is a bug and was wondering if anyone else has noticed it. If not, I would like to register it as a bug. I'm relatively new to MM and would appreciate knowing how to do this.
