Scripting 1-2-3.

Post by BobHelms » Thu May 07, 2009 12:43 am

I'm sure there is (some where) a blow by blow description on how to install and run a MM script. I just can't find it. Can someone please point me in the right direction. TIA for all your help.

Double click on the MMIP file to install. If there's not an MMIP file then the author of the script should have give details for installation.

Running a script depends on what type of script it is...

- Script: Appears in "Tools > Scripts >"
- Report: Appears in "File > Create Report >"
- OnPlay: Runs automatically when you play a track
- OnStartup: Runs automatically when you start MM
- Search: Appears as a source in the "Options" button on the "Auto-tag from Web" dialog
- AutoDJ: Appears as a source in "Tools > Options > Player > Auto-DJ / Now Playing >"

Many scripts have an "OnStartup" element for adding tree nodes, menu items and/or toolbar buttons. You'll need to refer to the individual script threads to find out about these.
