I just tested with "2Pac - Greatest Hits" and it worked fine for me here. The latest version of the script uses an onload event to make sure that the image is fully downloaded before any of the dimension checking is performed. The first image result is 572x572 for me, so you should have seen the same one. I'm using Vista 32bit and IE8 as well, so I don't understand what might be causing it to not work for you. :-?

Ok, so it was working for a while and now suddenly I'm getting "no results" for all the album art.

Just looked at the code. Turning on debug @46

Code: Select all

Dim Debug : Debug = True
See what I can get from the log.

Edit:
Well, that is slightly strange.
I got an image this time, but, it is 280x280.

Only thing different is debug enabled.

Retested with debug off. Came to rest on same 280x280 image. ie. change at source. Not seeing the 572x572 image you saw trix.

Turning debug back on.

Maybe some additional logging at the candidate image step would help?

Yep, I'll put more debug messaging in around this area in the next version. I've also bumped this up to second on my list.

OK, so I just redownloaded MM on my new hard drive as well as all my scripts.
Somehow I don't see the option on BB Art Finder to only get Google images that are a certain size, for example 300 x 300.
I can't remember where that option is located on the script. I can't find it.
Please help.

Great script but it's very hit and miss when it works. Sometimes I get results but most of the time I get no results, even when searching for an album that previously got results. Any idea what's going on? I've had a quick search of this thread but can't find anything.

It could be that the source website you're using is not always responding maybe, not sure what else it could be.

Not sure what the problem is but just recently i keep getting an

Error #-2147467261 - htmlfile Invalid Pointer

File: "C:\Program Files\Mediamonkeybeta\Scripts\Auto\BatchArtFinder.vbs", Line: 1517, Column:14

followed by another error saying Error Executing Script Event

Only thing i've recently done was upgraded Antivir, but there are already exceptions for the folders in both the general and the guard to ingore mediamonkey scripts (other wise it throws a fit every time MM starts)

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the script, And tried different artist/albums but i'm still getting the same exact error.

This problem has been showing up intermittently for a while. A variation on the error is "No Results Found" for just about any album. Just running and exiting IE8 Standard(i.e. 32 bit) fixed the error problem for one user whose default browser is Chrome. Unfortunately he later started getting "No Results".

What is your system configuration? Most significant factors are:
- Version of Windows
- Version of IE
- Default Browser

Trix has promised to release a new version with BAF with extra debug logging. He has not seen the problem himself.

Try using CCleaner to clear out your browsers Cache, this almost always worked for me.
