Same here, and I've found the problem by comparing with 4.0, thanks to the hint from kaltzagorri. It's just one single char in the HTML! :o :)

At line 976 you have to remove

Code: Select all

  doc.WriteLine " }"
so it has to look like

Code: Select all

      doc.WriteLine " saveclick(i);"
    End If
  End If
  doc.WriteLine "    i++;"
  doc.WriteLine " }"
  doc.WriteLine "}"

I've placed BatchArtFinder42.mmip in the "MediaMonkey\Scripts\Auto" folder, but it's not showing up in the scripts menu.

MM 4.0.6.1501 (portable mode)

You need to double click BatchArtFinder42.mmip to install it. (thus it doesn't need to be in the scripts/auto folder)

Since I'm running portable mode I had to associate .mmip with MM. Working now.

One more question. I don't see an config options. How does this script handle the .jpg files? I have my artwork as musicfolder\artist\album\front.jpg. Will it put them in the right folders? Or does it only add them to the tags?

Note, you can drag & drop mmip files onto the Player in MediaMonkey or use Tools > Extension and then Add to install mmip files.

The config options are all in the "Tools > Options" dialog.

Thanks. I've left everything at defaults for now. When I run the script the artwork starts popping up in the window, but when it finishes it all disappears and everything says "(no results)".

albumart.org has changed their urls, so now the script no longer works with them as a source.

Solution: go through the script and replace all the "srchkey=" with "skey=".

This source still returns a lot of excess images from the page elements, not sure what's up with that. Temporary solution: in the script options, set a reasonable minimum size, this seems to filter out most of the excess.

Hi

When batch art finder finds the image, it keeps on loading the next image, and when its done, it says no results.
So, he finds about 21 images for 1 cd, the first image is the correct one, but then he keeps loading all the other availeble iamages for that folder too, and then say no results, and i can't save an image,

how can i fix this please.

Try enabling the debug mode, it'll tell you why it's rejecting the images. It could be all sorts of things, like a size outside of your specific parameters, or unknown image types, etc.

Strange. So once removing that line from the code, the buttons all work, but no matter which cover I select, the script always saves the last cover to the the album, and not the one I selected. Hmm.

Hi all,

After updating to version 4.2 I´m running into the same problem :o
After enabling debugging I adapted 'some' options (eg. only PNG files are found at first) - so far so good

but now there are other issues:
I only get a black picture with fading edges as cover
Klicking "Try next image" has no effect (works with the prior version).

Looking inside the log:
1st Image --> Image 'http://c1317792.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspac ... shadow.png' is ok (album:1 found:1) (for each and every album I´m looking for)
the second entry in the log seems to be a real picture
but the third one is --> http://c1317792.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspac ... /blank.png' is ok (album:1 found:3) (for each and every album I´m looking for)
even more irritating: this link is repeated (e.g. 15 times for 38 'found' images)

any hint´s appreciated
Regards Marc
