Strange, I'm sure I tried that too... Maybe it didn't work because I used an older version (altough 1.6)...
Thanks!
Thanks!

You could use a name for the custom field which contain for example the word Year (e.g. Release Year), but you should not name the custom field Year, because there already exists such field name. I didn't tried it, but I suppose there is no restriction on reserver words (eg. Select or Statistic).renowden wrote:I have said against custom fields that you need to beware of unexpected results or errors if your name clashes with and existing field name or other reserved word. I suspect that the reserved word problem is no longer an issue since the fields have been enclosed in <angle brackets>. Correct?
Yeah, spaces are currently not permitted in masks except:No spaces are permitted in masks except
. Where Fields or Qualifiers contain spaces in which cae they should be single plain spaces
. In filter expressions where spaces can be added for readability.
Correct?
You wrote correct syntax for Child of qualifier - its arguments shouldn't have space in the name. But if you think that they should, I could modify the script for this.I am not sure of the exact syntax for the arguments for the Child of: qualifier - are they closed up as I have shown or are there space in theer? e.g. MyComputer or My Computer?
Code: Select all
2 <Album AND Artist> 5
Code: Select all
(2 < Album) AND (Artist > 5)
Code: Select all
Albums (by rating)\<album|sort by:avg(rating)|sort order:desc|min tracks:5>
Code: Select all
"CAST(32 * Round(Songs.Bitrate / 32000.0) AS integer)"
Code: Select all
"CAST( Round(Songs.Bitrate / 1000.0) AS integer)"
Code: Select all
sLeftOfValue = getQualifierValue(sCurLevelMask, "left of", "", False)
Code: Select all
sLeftOfValue = getQualifierString(sCurLevelMask, "left of", "", False)
Very interesting. Thanks for the report. Anyway, your solution is not very well if you want same behavior in MM2 (case insensitive) and MM3 (case sensitive). Next revision of the script will include that.Big Isch wrote:I just found out that the qualifier "left of" (and "right of") works on uppercase arguments only.
Well, that line of code is only for a display of nodes. If you take a look on the line 921, you could see bitrate expression used for sorting/statistic which is not rounded to 32 kB. With your modification, there are displayed too many nodes for VBR files which is not desirable.Big Isch wrote:I just found out, that the BitRate is rounded to 32k, which is bad for VBR.
Can you give me a good reason for that? Why somebody would need 160 nodes with different bitrates? This is a number which I get with following masks and your modification:Big Isch wrote:May a propose a "Bitrate" and a "BitrateExact" ?
Code: Select all
Format, bitrate\<Format|Statistic:Count(Items)>\<Bitrate>
Very nice indeed. But, I need to repeat my suggestions about a numeration of pages. Table of contents and Acknowledgments should have its own page numeration (Roman I, II, III, or i, ii, iii,...), Installation chapter should start with page 1 - please, take a look on any book and you will see such thing.renowden wrote:There are a lot of stylistic changes to this version to aid readability.
