Re: PlayList Builder V1-1
So then it is working (if you disregard the empty playlists) ?
Unfortunately, that seems to be an artifact of MM. I can see about collapsing the playlist node by the script.

Re: PlayList Builder V1-1
No need to make any changes, just a note on the original post should be sufficient, and yes it is working. I will play with it some more to see what else you can add.

I've made the changes to resolve the annoying phantom playlists. Will post later today.

Re: PlayList Builder V1-2
V1-3 is now available which adds ability to limit by Time and/or Size (Mbytes) via options.

I didn't try it yet but I suppose # Songs/Megabytes/Minutes options will switch on first occurence of one of those. Am I right?
Thanks Raybeau for this useful script.

Eyal,
Yes, you can check and set any of the limits. Any of them will trigger the event to create the sub playlist and move on to the next, ie if you set 100 tracks and 650 mb and 30 minutes it will most likely trigger on the 30 minute limit.

Re: PlayList Builder V1-4
A new "mystery" feature was added with v1-4. Hint, right-click on a static playlist.

Re: PlayList Builder V1-5
V1-5 adds a new feature to make Unique playlists. The functions of the right-click menu options have changed slightly as well.
The Add Selection to Playlist only adds the selected tracks - it does not rebuild the sub-playlists.
Use Build Sub-playlists. This allows you to add tracks without re-building.
The Clear Playlist menu option only does that - it does not add tracks or rebuild the sub-playlists. It seemed better to
me to separate the functions, at least for the way I use it and to support the new Make Unique feature.
You can enable the Make Unique Sub-Playlists in the options panel. When checked, you'll see an additional sub-playlist. This playlist contains all tracks that have been used in the sub-playlist(s). When you build the sub-playlists, the selected tracks are removed from the main playlist and added to the new playlists.
This is the mode I use the most. I use the top playlist as a 'buffer' for playlists I copy to my iPod. I'm assured to not have any duplicate tracks in any of the playlists. I keep adding tracks and build new playlists until I decide to start over and then use the Clear Playlists.
Let me know what you think of this new feature.
