Hi,
first of all I really like to thank you for developing this fab tool, which helped to get my digitalized files tagged, I really love this tool.
Since 5.27 I have the problem that discogs tagger runs out of memory. Maybe it´s a bug but discogs tagger runs out of memory with big files like this one: http://www.discogs.com/sell/item/222737245 It´s not possible for me to uncheck the boxes anymore and mediamonkey crashes
Thank you
Armin

Hi Sven,
here´s the correct url: http://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Danc ... ase/664967
I figured out though that unchecking boxes isnt possible any more also with other releases. Tis is a relevant option for me. E.g. when I have a record with 6 tracks on Side A,
but I only have 5 track recorded I´d like to uncheck the non existing one. Discogs tagger doesnt allow me to uncheck the unwanted track anymore

Thank You
Armin

Hi Sven,
now everything runs fine for me, thx for the update.
I have another question, not sure if this is the right forum for it.

On my Mac I use different programs like Swinsian and cannot see the correct metadata info i write in my flac files via Discogs Tagger,
any hints how do get my metadata being displayed in other programs too?
Also tried nightingale, songbird etc

What is displayed correctly is the year, artist, album, album artist, genre, comment, cover img
What is missing is the track no

Thanks in advance
Armin

Hi Armin,

DiscogsTagger only grab the metadata from discogs and put them into the mediamonkey database. Possibly there is a bug in media monkey writing the trackno. into flac-files?

You can't see the trackno. on every track?

Greetings
Sven

First can I say I love this extension, I use it on all my tracks and it performs really well.

I have found a bug when it matches a track that has a release with an A side and an AA side. The Information for the A side includes the AA side info too. Here is one example

Artist Title Duration
A Digital Express - The Club (KGB Remix) (The Club (BK Remix))
AA Digital Express - The Club (BK Remix)

From the discogs site the info is stored as such

Tracklist

A The Club (KGB Remix)
Remix – KGB

AA The Club (BK Remix)
Remix – BK

I'm guessing the A in the track number is confusing it.

Also one feature which might be useful to some (it would be for me) is to be able to store the original date in the date field I'm not really interested in the date a song was put on a compilation album so would prefer all my dates to be original release dates.

Anyway, keep up the good work and thanks for a very useful extension.

You have to check one of the oprions under the album artwork. i cant remember wich one it was but it had the word "name" in it.

TheMcShan is right, turn the option "Other Sub-Track naming" on, this will fix it.

And by the way, a famous track. I fidget around on the couch while writing, hearing the track. :)
The song revives memories of '"Dorian Gray" and "Music Hall" in Frankfurt. ;)

Discogs auto-tag error.

Using the new release of Discogs Tagger 5.28.
When auto-tagging one of my CDs that I'm ripping I get an error. The CD is Dinosaur Jr., album Farm. it is only when selecting one of the specific albums on the list, the one it happens to be, "Dinosaur Jr. - Farm [CD, Album, CD, All Media, Limited Edition] US (2009) catNo:JAG 150 / Jagjaguwar, Sterling Sound, Bisquiteen, Bisquiteen, Spam As The Bread Music, Loobiecore BMG, Jagjaguwar, Jagjaguwar, http://www.BellwetherMfg.com"
Any of the others will load just fine, and I haven't ever had an issue with any of my other CDs.
The error that pops up is,
Error #5 - Microsoft VBScript runtime error
Invalid procedure call or argument: 'ASC'
File: "C:\Users\Clayton\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Scripts\DiscogsAutoTagWeb.vbs", Line: 4307, Column: 5
After clicking on OK a second error pops up,
Error happened during scripts execution:
Invalid procedure call or argument: 'ASC'
Any help? Thanks.

There was a wrong credit entry in the release. (1,1 instead of 1.1) I just changed it on discogs. It should now work.
