Scripts Not Available After Install

Post by RGADAWG » Sun Jan 18, 2015 2:14 pm

MM seems to have a lot of confusion about script install/uninstall.

I am mainly wanting to install the Advanced Dupes Finder
Which says it is installed, but doesn't show up in the menu, or in the "Scripts.ini"
I also don't see the *.vbs file for this script ..

Some scripts install fine, and are available in the menu > Tools > Scripts
While others after install are not in that menu at all

The install message reads successful, and if I check in the "Extensions" area this shows the extension is installed

Also, this always happens :
When I uninstall a script the "Extensions" area shows it is no longer there
However the menu > Tools > Scripts shows the script is still listed (yet will give you file error if you try to run it)

I can manually go to the locations for Scripts.ini and edit it out, so that's no problem

I seem to have (2) different locations for the "Scripts.ini"

C:\Program Files (x86)\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Scripts.ini
C:\Users\Russell\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Scripts.ini

Not all scripts appear in the "Scripts" menu. Advanced Dupe is actually a node in the media tree. Look under {Base node (ie Entire Library, Music, etc.}\Files to Edit and you should see Advanced Dupe. Also, right click on a file and you should see entries in the context menu for the Copy/Paste Metadata functions of the script.
