I use GPM and housed about 500gb of music there as well as on my comp...I have playlists I would like to bring over to MM but dont know how. I can get them in a txt or csv file if needed.
Your playlists use just the 500gb of your own tracks? Or they also feature tracks that you don't have local copies of (ie. Google's tracks)?
What would you guess was the % of each?
Peke's suggestion would work for your own tracks.
I don't think it would work for Google's tracks ... ie. a sync to GPM of these tracks in a playlist, would only capture the path to where they are stored in GPM, which is about to close soon. ... I haven't tested it, but I very much doubt that the path will be any use once the migration to YTM is complete.
It violates Googles TOS, but MM5 does allow you to download tracks from GPM. So you could get track copies before GPM closes down.
PM me if you need assistance with MM5<->GPM ... it is not relevant in this forum anymore.
There have been suggestions here that they are evaluating some form MM5 <-> YTM sync ... which would mean that you do not need to do anything ... but there is no evidence that there is any actual work being done, and there is no information about how extensive the facilties would be, and I doubt that you will have any information that you can rely upon before GPM closes down.
Questions to all:
- Does anyone know of a MM4 addon that can build MM playlists from Mike's txt or csv files.
- Does anyone know if Google's migration from GPM to YTM also migrate your own uploaded tracks & GPM playlists which use those tracks ... are the playlists still functional?
