[REQ] Please add "Search for Lyrics" and "Background Metadata Lookup" to the Right-Click menu and Tools menu

Please add "Search for Lyrics" and "Background Metadata Lookup" to the Right Click menu and Tools menu.

This would add the ability to just update Lyrics and/or Artwork and/or Artist Images for the selected track(s) [depending on what is checkboxed in the "Library...Metadata Lookup...Background Metadata Lookup" settings]; Instead of having to always either use Auto Tag (which tags much longer), or having to go into each track's properties and choosing search on the lyrics tab or or lookup image on the artwork tab, or select each track one-by-one to initiate background metadata lookup

Both can be done from the Properties dialog and the Preview window set to Selected.

I know that, but those methods can only be used to modify the metadata (lyrics and/or artwork) for a single track at a time. The point is to be able to do it for multiple tracks. Like being able to select a group of tracks and update the Lyrics and/or update the Artwork, without having to use Auto Tag because you don’t want any other metadata modified.

Unfortunately this won't be changed or better said: it is not a desired feature to do bulk lyrics searching to not bother the lyrics provider websites with many requests within a certain time.

I've ]asked https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=99256 the same question long before because MM4 has had a plugin for such a task. That plugin never found it's way into MM5 and I fear it won't in the future.

If you enable Lyrics Column in Auto-Tag MM will search for Lyrics, BUT IT WILL slow down considerably in order not to get black listed.

Can you use AutoTag to just do lyrics and not affect any other tag fields?

Yes, you can select which fields Auto-Tag updates.

Ok, well I guess that is good that using AutoTag for Lyrics only is kind of a workaround for having this functionality already, but it is not exactly user friendly to have to keep going to Options to switch between Lyrics only autotagging to "normal" autotagging (to include all the normal fields you would want to updates tags for).

That is why I asked if there could be a seperate menu function called "Search for Lyrics", so you could select multiple mp3s and just search for lyrics... and if you have to throttle it, so be it.
