Re: MMS for Synology NAS?

Start it as

Code: Select all

./mms
This isn't too user-friendly atm, but we are working on native packages for various platforms (Synology, QNAP) and so it should be better soon. And, if you have a problem, just ask here... ;-)

Can you please get screenshot of your login page showing QTS version and Firmware page so that I can see what exact nas you have and that we try to create QPKG for you?

See mine screenshot:

Note: As seen above I have QNAP TS-459 Pro II with Intel Atom CPU, upgraded to 3GB ram (Easy and highly recommended)

Hi Peke,
a QPKG would be extreme great.

This is my QNAP:

@Jiri:
I'm too stupid for that simple Linux stuff.
./mms works.... a little.

./mms: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.20' not found (required by ./mms)

Something is wrong with my GNU Library?
Does that mean, that a QPKG wouldn't run neither?

Many thx for your support
Greetings, Timo

./mms: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.20' not found (required by ./mms)
Doesn't mms run well regardless of this error message? This message is shown (~8 times) on some platforms, but doesn't have any negative effect on mms work then.

Hi Jiri,

the message appears only one time, when running ./mms and it is the only output.

(in my usr/lib are the libstdc++.so, .so.6 and .so.6.0.18. Must I install a newer Version?)

What's your NAS model? I guess that we'll need a specific build for your platform.

Hi,
You have one of newer QNAP NAS https://www.qnap.com/en/product/ts-431p2/specs/hardware and also see that you have latest firmware.

Can you please also report what "uname -a" report when started in sam efolder as "./mms" ?

Qnap do not keep up to date So Files. I needed to install installed additional libraries in order to compile MMS on My QNAP and I have older model TS-459 Pro II so now any QNAP based on x86_64 cpu with at least 4.2.6 should support it (Those confirmed TS-x51 Series, TS-x51+ Series, TS-x51A Series, TS-x53B Series, TS-x53A Series, TS-x53U Series TS-239 Pro, TS-239 Pro II, TS-239 Pro II+, TS-251, TS-253A, TS-259 Pro, TS-259 Pro+, TS-269L, TS-439 Pro II, TS-451, TS-459 Pro, TS-439 Pro, TS-459U-RP+/SP+, TS-439 Pro II+, TS-459 Pro II, TS-459 Pro+, TS-459U-RP/SP, SS-439-Pro TS-469L, TS-651, TS-851)

Like Jiri said, we need to determine exact dependencies in order to make it working on your model.
