Missing files in mm, but showed in explorer

Post by mm_myfavtool »

Hi,
I have a strange behaviour with MM 4.1.31.1919 but also with MM 5 running Windows 10.
Some of my tracks are only shown in Windows Explorer but not displayed in mediamonkey folder view.
I checked the properties of the files none are hidden.
I don´t use the sync possibilty, I just want to see the files.
Thx for your help
Cheers
Armin

Right click such a file in File Explorer and play in MediaMonkey. Does it play?

You need to scan for files for them to be included in the MediaMonkey Library: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/WebHel ... ibrary/5.0

I can open with the file in mediamonnkey through file explorer.
Not using the library function, just need proper display of all my flac files in folder mode as it was working before, thx.

Ok I think I solved the problem.
The file name was apparently too long:
B1-B5 Manasa Sanghara Re Brahmani, Nano-Buddhyahankara-Chittani Naham, Mangalam Song, Santi Mantram, Sarvam-Brahmarparpanam.flac
changed it to b1-b5.flac now shown in mm too.

MediaMonkey 4 has a limit on the full Path length which comes from the limit Windows used to have. MediaMonkey 5 on Windows 10 can deal with longer filenames.
