Selecting file types to scan

Post by Rob_S »

MM5 does not seem to have a section under add/scan to select file types. How do I tell it what to scan?

Also, it can play .webm video files, but apparently it does not include these in the scan. Can they be included?

Hi Rob :)

Do you have a folder structure of any description?

Personally I have all kinds of files on my server, but I put the differnt file types in differnt folders, then by going to "Add/Rescan Folders", I can choose exactly what files/folders I wish to add to my MM library.

See Tools>Options>Library.

It seems to me that .webm files are selected by default.
I don't have any so can't test them.
Want a dark skin for MM5? This is the one that works best for me .. elegant, compact & clear.

Thanks, Barry

Can't believe I missed that. I looked in all the sub-headings of "Library" but did not think to click on the heading "Library".

By the way "Webm" was not checked by default, and adding the checkmark fixed it.
