save playlists with relative file references

Post by smellhole »

When I synch my playlists to a USB drive the playlists don't work in my car cause the songs in the playlist reference drive letters instead of relative file references. I have to use a separate app to convert the playlists.

Is there a way to make MM5 use relative file references when I synch to a USB drive?

Thanks.

You can use the settings in the Device Profile for that: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/WebHel ... #Playlists (this relies on Sync to copy files and Playlists to the device).

Force Relative Paths is already checked. Is that not what I'm looking for?

Huh. That works with a different USB drive (same drive letter, tho).

I wonder why it's not working with the other one. Weird.

I'll format it and see what happens.
