Album vs Single (LP vs 45's)

Post by seawind »

I was wondering if there was a way to indicate that a particular song is on an LP/CD or a 45/CD Single. I have over 1300 singles and I don't like associating them with compilation albums and would prefer to leave them as singles, right now in the Album Title I am placing an (S) in front of the title which indicates it's a single (45's). In a perfect world there would be a check-box to select different formats. Maybe it's a stupid request and I am simply anal about categorizing my 10k + database.

Thanks for any insight in advance.

No, but you can use a Custom field for this.

Thanks. Problem there is I have used up every custom field for other vital statistics. I guess initially I was hoping for a way to establish whether the title of song comes off an album/CD or a 45, between 1955-1962 most songs were released as singles and the LP's followed later on. My database is managed by release dates....again, thanks for the suggestion
