When I fire up MediaMonkey (3.1.0.1244) and MediaMonkey does its initial scan, I inevitably get a pop-up window with a decoder.exe error (not always the same one)
the last ones were:
Decoder.exe - Application error - The instruction at "0x1517339a" referenced memory at "0x00000008". The memory could not be "read"
and
Decoder.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
AppName: decoder.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: wmvcore.dll
ModVer: 11.0.5721.5251 Offset: 0006339a
Has anyone run into this and can you point me to a solution?

Re: Decoder.exe - Application error
Thanks for your quick response!
Re-installing the runtime files (your first link) appears to have done the trick!
I did not even have to try to re-install the entire Media Player 11 (the second link you provided)
I now opened MediaMonkey three times in a row without decoder.exe giving me any trouble thus I assume the problem is fixed.
Thanks a lot!
