Hi i have MM 4.0.5.1496

I recently set up auto-organize, but i'm noticing that it occationally changes the track number on the file names. It takes off and puts on the preceeding zero of the file name. so the file in MM shows up as grey and i have to use the locate missing file feature.

any help?
thanks

Is MM the only one set to move files? Maybe others like iTunes are set to do so too?

New path: D:/music/artist/album/4 title.mp3 Old path: D:/music/artist/album/04 title.mp3

If MediaMonkey were doing this it would be set under Tools > Options > Auto-Organize and wouldn't result in greyed out files. If you still think it is MediaMonkey you should capture this in a debug log (step 4b) and send it to support so the developers can have a look at it: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=69

I think I figured it out... I had the auto-organize just under the tools set with <track#:2> while the auto-organize in the options menue set with <track#>. I set them both the same now and we'll see if that fixes the problem.

I'll let you know,
thanks

That would mean that each time you use Tools > Auto-Organize Files that Auto-Organize would then correct the filenames again. If Auto-Organize is enabled you don't need to use Auto-Organize Files.

well i was off and on, but now i set them both to just display the title with no track number. so far so good.

i have another problem about the MM remote for Droids, it worked the first time but not again. i'll start a new post for that though, thanks
