Faded album art

Post by Benn » Fri Feb 13, 2009 6:14 pm

Hey everyone; I am wondering about the possibility of achieving a "faded" or "frosted" effect for my album art panel. My idea would be to embed a semi-transparent jpeg into the panel, but I have no idea how to go about it. Any ideas?

You're talking about AlbumArtOverlay (TBitmapObject) (since 3.1).

Hi Benn.
Do you think you could try to make something like
the dark side of the moon jacket that gege posted here?

It would be so kick ass!

Hey, I have no experience with skinning/even image editing, I was just seeing if it was possible. I'm going to ask my sister for help, she's a photoshop nut; so I'll get back to you. :)

OK, I'll do my part to help here :)
Here is a hi-res PNG, with transparency:

And here is a layered PSD image, in case someone wants to play with various parts of the case.
