1187 Duplicate file under identical name on portable device

Not a bug report, but a request for suggestions as to cause/fix for the problem and possible bug wherein the same file can get uploaded to the device twice, apparently under the same name e.g.:



Since this is one of a number of sync failures that I'd really like to eliminate, even wild guesses are welcome!

Are you sure that the file exists twice on the device, in other words it's not MediaMonkey displaying the same track twice?

Yes - it shows twice on the device's All Tracks list, differing only in playcount.

Guys, in this case you should use this utility to manage and remove duplicate files. It has many functions and will help to work with your hard disk space and manage data on it...
