My bad, I should have provided you with the exact error. I figured it would be a simple error to test, but the Gold thing never even crossed my mind, so sorry about that. Seems as though whatever changes you made to fix said error has worked though, as it ran fine without throwing an error on the Filter used to report the error. Glad to see the addition of the Top X setting. It was kind of trivial, but makes that setting a little more user-friendly now. Also, since it's not set in the script directly, it's no longer defaulted upon script update. So, props on this update.

I am not sure if this is a solution since I am not getting an error on that line, but you could try to edit the script in the Notepad. Just find the line 2215 and replace intTopCount with the Int(intTopCount). Please let me know if that resolves a problem and I will upload modified version of the script.

There is a new update: v1.4 - 2009-05-13
- Added: support for skin styles with custom configurable .css files;
- Fixed: total number of genres (now calculated only for genres contained in the library).

Please excuse me, since I haven't used any of the skinning abilities of your other scripts, so I'm unaware how to go about doing such with this script. *scratches head*

Well, .css files are just textual description how some web page should look, and since this script displays its content using Web document control, it is much easier to do it in such way, than to add more controls in the Option sheet for same thing. Anyway, same principle are using MonkeyRok, Lyrics Viewer and many other scripts that have Web control.

There are 13 included .css samples for many popular skins in the Auto\SkinStyle foder by myself and 3 .css files by Nyn. My 4 recently updated scripts have automatic detection of the current skin by its name and because of that the name of the .css file should be same as the name of the corresponding .msz file in the Skins folder.

If you want to create .css file for your preferred skin which is not already supported, you could copy some existing one and modify its styles. If you want some more explanation about this, please let me know. Actually, it is not too many complicated to change colors, fonts and so on for those .css files, you only need to know what styles is for, since there are many custom configurable elements. For example, there are style groups for table headers, individual cells, titles and captions, scroll bars... Also, if you are interested I could give you an advice how to get hexadecimal value for color of some skin element. If you make .css file for some new skin, I could include it with the next version of the script.

Yeah, I somewhat know my way around CSS, I just wasn't sure how to get a CSS to be used. Figured there may have been some kind of option to select which was used or something, and not automatic detection. Now that I switch to one of the skins that there is a CSS for, I see that it automatically detected it and applied the style. Now with this knowledge, I'm going to have some fun (italicized to denote sarcasm, haha.) getting something set up that looks good with the Royal Negative Pink skin. Cheers for clearing up how to "apply" a style.

Hi, I'm new with MM. But I most say that I love this product especial due to all great scripts like yours :D

However I might found and bug in the Statistics report section Top 10 Played Artists.
I due most of my listening on iPod and I have no problem with sync information regarding Played# BUT it looks like I have to play each song at least once with the inbuilt player before I can see the artist in the report. Are you using a tag (flag) what is not supported by iPod (or not sync)?

MediaMonkey saves for a "Play Counter" as well as a table containing actually "Play History" in the database. The history table saves what song was played, and when it was played to the exact minute (second?). Due to limitations of devices, information like when a track was played is not saved, and synced to MediaMonkey. Thus, these iPod plays aren't added to the History table, but it does increase the playcounter by one.

Some scripts choose to use the data in the Playhistory for their scripts, since it's a more complete record than just a number of plays. This might be why this is happening for you, because there's no entries in the Played table for these songs that have been played on your iPod. Though I'm not a script and don't really know what Z is doing under the hood with the script, so I'm only making an "educated guess."

There is a new release (1.4.1), please let me know if it works as it should. I don't have an iPod, so I cannot test it.

Z:

What does the update do? Does it allow the user to select whether to use the played table or the songs table?

It takes in account an information about play counts from Songs table instead of previous calculations with Played table. I suppose it is more correct if iPod sync updates only that information.

So if the playcounts are out of sync, the info from the songs table will be what is used in the reports?
