It should have been asked long ago, so here it is: I request this modification to skinning engine because it's limiting all dark skins, and because many users complain about it.
It ties up somehow with 5910 - SearchBox dropdown object wish: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =4&t=42056
Issue: Dark skins with bright text tend to be unreadable on (forced) yellow/grey background, in Auto-Organize, Auto-Tag and Extensions windows. Pictures worth a thousand words.
Samples with Helium gDark skin:
MM-Ultimate skin: (black text on black background)
It's not possible with ThemeEditor to change text color in these windows-only, because they use tracklist text color (Fonts\ListItemTextNormal object). I think text color should be forced to black in every object that use these forced yellow/grey background colors. For the Extensions window, text should be the one defined in the skin.
Thank you for considering.

Guilty and because of that, I agree that this could use some brain storming at the least.Eyal wrote:and because many users complain about it.

Sure, the thread is open for any suggestion.
I thing that setting the text to black is a simple way of making it readable, and i suppose it can be easily implement by the developers.
Another solution would be to allow skinners to set other background colors instead of these bright yellow/grey, but it will break design compliance (uniformity).

Greetings
To make the Text black is a good idea , or separate them from ListItemText and make them Skinable.
The current behavior is very limiting for Dark / Black Skins.
Also the non skinable font color from # in the now playing window .

True, DreadM. In auto-organize windows, setting the text to black will also fix all existing dark skins without the need to further modify them.
Also, header numbers in AlbumArt views is black by default. I think it should be the same color as track list text.

Re: Dark skins: set text to black for yellow/grey background
Is this fixed in 3.2.1.1297? I wish to use Helium gDark skin, but the unreadable fields in yellow (exactly like the OP examples) are making me a sad panda. I've looked in the options, but I can't find a setting to fix it.

No, the fix won't be until version 4.anon wrote:Is this fixed in 3.2.1.1297? I wish to use Helium gDark skin, but the unreadable fields in yellow (exactly like the OP examples) are making me a sad panda. I've looked in the options, but I can't find a setting to fix it.
