Color coding, track groups, multiple instances of same track

Post by VR »

I suggest simple color coding (say 256 colors) to let users find and group subsets of tracks within playlists easier and faster. In addition, it would be great to let user create "groups" of tracks ("group objects" like in Powerpoint) to drag and drop groups of tracks as a whole. Finally, being able to add a track to the playlist more than once would be very helpful, i.e. for intermission tracks and/or transitions. Thanks!

This has been requested before and I still don't like it.

I am not talking about coordinating existing genres with colors. I suggest giving the user the opportunity to create his or her own color schemes.

I am not entirely sure if that isn't covered by the Mantis entry.
