New iTunes release of Beatles LOVE

Post by rrfpacker »

iTunes just released the Beatles's LOVE cd and has two exclusive songs, Fool on the Hill and Girl. Where would/will you put these two within the whole album? All You Need is Love HAS to end the album, so where do these go?

I'm going to start with Girl after BlackbirdYesterday and Fool on the Hill after Elenor Rigby/Julia.

Is this a trick question. ?

Girl belongs on Rubber Soul, and Fool on the Hill with Magical Mystery Tour

so if you already have those complete albums
delete those 2

Not a trick question. Cirque deSoliel does a show in Vegas called LOVE using Beatles songs remixed by George Martin with the support of McCartney, Starr, and wives of John and George.

The album LOVE was released as a soundtrack in 2007. iTunes celebrates the Beatles catalogue by offering two additional songs not on original album at the end of the album...I contend they don't belong there.

If you haven't heard about this you should check it out, it is a treat.

I would say put both either after Help! or after Blackbird/Yesterday. Or maybe put one after Help! and the other after Blackbird/Yesterday.
Most of the other songs on the album seem to fit together right where they are.

The sounds at the end of Eleanor Rigby/Julia kind of lead into I am the Walrus, so I would keep those two together.

Just my two cents. :P

Spent some more time trying to place these two and for now Girl is before Help and Fool on the Hill is before Strawberry Fields Forever. Nice segue so far. Fool has such a long intro I'm having trouble placing it.

Looks like we are close to being on the same page.

Only nine months between posts, wonder if that's a record.

Guess I'll have to listen to the album today now that it's been brought to my attention.

LOVE is excellent. I'm excited to hear these new tracks. Yes, "Within You, Without You/Tomorrow Never Knows" is probably the best track. I also love the demo of "Strawberry Fields Forever."
