Delete silences

Post by ui »

Hi!

It would be nice to have a "delete silences at start and end of track" within the Burn CD/DVD wizard. When burning songs that go over in one another, there's often a silence that shouldn't be there. Having a "delete silence" option can solve this. It's like in many live-concerts where a band plays a compilation of songs. The songs are played as one, but indexed as track 1, 2, 3 etc. on the CD.

I hope it's clear what I mean by this!

I'm not sure if you can deleate the solences that easy, but if not you they could ad an overlap function - some players already have this that you can set by number of second two tracks overlap. I wouldn't mind that feature myself

Actually what you are asking is not an potion to delete silence from songs. Is an option to not insert pause (usually a 2 seconds silence) between the songs when writing to CD. This has also been discussed elsewhere and i think i MUST be imlemented as it is a basic feature on almost every CD-Burning software outhere

No, I'm really asking for an option t delete silences at the start and end of a track. I notice that many mp3-files have just a small silence at the start and end of the track. I'd lke to be able to delete that silence, so that a CD sounds like one long track, while in fact it consists of several tracks.

well, even if ypur songs have no silence at all, the CD's you create with MM will still have silence between each songs (because this is the standar).

Anyway, you can try Mp3Trim for this job, which is free and does what you want (i use it all the time)

But if you want to create gapless CD, you have to do it with nero for now as MM doenst support this

Glad i helped.
Just remember, once you put your files inside nero, select them all (except the first one) rightclick>properties and set pause to 0.
