Momentary skip at beginning of each track

Hi - recently installed MM app for Windows 8 (version 1.0.4.62). I notice when playing songs, there is a momentary skip about 2 seconds into each song. It happens on almost every song. I thought maybe it had to do with sound leveling, I tried disabling audio processing and it still happens. It doesn't happen with other music players like Xbox Music. Only MM. In general I like MM much more than Xbox except for this one annoying issue. I was wondering if anyone here has ever experienced or heard of this and if there is a possible solution. Thanks.

Is it mp3, or any audiobook/podcast ?

Yes the songs are in mp3 format stored on a micro SD card.
