Randomize tracks in a folder?

Post by sperk »

Is there any way to randomize tracks in a folder? I think you can make a playlist and randomize that but I want to randomize in the folder and then tag.
Thanks

Yes, but what I want to do is, suppose you have a folder with 100 songs by 20 artists and they are sorted by artist A: 5 songs, Artist B: 5 songs etc. How can I get it so there is variety and I'm not listening to all the songs by an artist right in a row? I found a Windows utility that can random sort files in a folder but just wondered if I can do that in MM.
Thanks

If you want to do this by filename user <Random> in Auto-Organize Files.
