iOS 8.3 [#12701]

Post by billjimbers »

Is anyone else having issues synching with the new version of iOS? I didn't see another forum topic, so hopefully this isn't a repeat.....MediaMonkey appears to be skipping over multiple files, and the ones that do successfully sync take ≈1 minute per song. (I have a 5s if that helps),
Gracias

No one? Just updated to the most recent Media Monkey yesterday. Still having the same issue. Never had a problem synching songs in the past. Now despite the bar at the bottom saying songs are synched, multiple songs are skipped and synching in general is taking significantly longer.I'm hoping this is just an issue with 8.3 that will be fixed in the near future.
Thanks

Now, immediately after typing that last post, I am no longer able to add anything to my phone (message: there was a problem synchronizing the following item(s). If there is a better forum/way to address this issue please let me know.

Thanks

Same exact issue here, and I've gone through all known troubleshooting steps to no avail. I've opened a support ticket with the developers, so hopefully I'll hear back soon and a fix will be implemented.

Also not able to sync since iOS 8.3 update. For me it is hanging on sync - looks like it is progressing and then just hangs.

Just to echo the problems with iOS 8.3 - I came home with a new iPhone 6 and immediately had problems trying to sync one playlist of 267 songs. It goes pretty quickly to about 35-40 then just drags down to about one song every three to five minutes. It hasn't completed yet, often just totally hanging (highest I saw was it getting to 160 songs or so), or MM just crashes and unloads.

MediaMonkey 4.1.6.1736
CopyTrans Drivers 2.026
QuickTime 7.76
iTunes never installed on the subject PC

Apparently iOS 8.3 breaks file transfer utilities: http://www.macrumors.com/2015/04/13/ios ... pp-access/

I'm guessing that is the problem. I also have a problem with the iOS Marvin ebook reader interacting with Calibre on 8.3.

Am downgrading my devices to 8.2 while I still can and will report back.

No joy with iOS 8.2. MM behaves the same. Slow as molasses transfer, crashes and unloads, no songs or playlist appear on the device.

Looks like it's back to iTunes for now.

According to above mantis entry, the problem will be fixed in 4.1.7.1739 and the tracks having problems to sync are those with lyrics in it.

Watch http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... &start=225 for availability of this (or a subsequent) build.

iOS 8.3 Error [1739]

Post by SharlzKiDarlz »

I was one of the people getting sync trouble with the new iOS in the last Beta version. I updated it, but I'm still getting trouble and an error message saying:

Exception EAccessViolation in module iTunesMobileDevice.dll at 663C9

And my library still won't sync to my phone. I'm still getting incomplete albums and not all of my music like with the previous version. I've reinstalled it and tried looking at the dll file but am not sure exactly what the problem is.

Thank you.

Could you please search your computer where exactly the iTunesMobileDevice.dll is located (and whether there is only one iTunesMobileDevice.dll) ?
Which version of iTunes do you have installed?

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support

There is only one file.

12.1.2.27 iTunes; the latest one.

Do I need to copy paste it somewhere in the MediaMonkey directory?

Thank you.

Windows 64-bit or 32-bit?

Could you please generate and attach debug log?
It is item 4b here:
http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=6&t=341

Did you submit automatic crash report (item 4a) ?

Does sync with iTunes 12 work fine?
