Hello,
I need help at my topic - Empty playlists after lost connection to music folder.
I use MediaMonkey on my notebook and music folder is on external disk on local network mapped with unc path to mediamonkey \\diskstation\music
On case, if I start MediaMonkey and the path doesn't exist, all playlists are empty and I must it set again.
1. is this behavior normally?
2. is possible after lost connection to this path first make question before clear all content at playlists?
3. How can I backup playlists?
Thank you for help
Martin

Do you have Folder Monitoring enabled (File > Add/Rescan Files)? If so disable it as it's likely the cause of the problem.
My assumption would be that the diskstation is accessible, but the external drive connect to it isn't? In that case the behavior is expected.

Thank you, I can disable files monitoring. How can I add new files to the library, rescan files?
Re: Empty playlists after lost connection to music
It could be that you have 'Remove unavailable items' enabled. If so this would automatically remove tracks from MM's database if the Diskstation isn't available. The option is under Tools --> Options --> Library. If you uncheck that you should probably be able to keep Folder Monitoring active.

Yes, thank you, that is the right settings for me.
