Also, I seem to have created nodes on a playlist by accident, and can't figure out how to remove these either. Am I missing the node on my face?

Unable to delete playlist(s)
I would think it would be straightforward to delete a playlist I no longer want from mediamonkey, but I can't seem to do so. In the playlists tab, if I highlight the list I want to delete, then right-click on it, it opens the playlist immediately, there is no option to remove or delete. How do I get rid of my unwanted/redundant playlist(s).

Re: Unable to delete playlist(s)
1) Remove should be available, but hitting the Delete key should also work.
2) You can drag & drop playlists as nodes of other playlist. You can also drag & drop them back to the root Playlist node to unnode them.

Re: Unable to delete playlist(s)
Not sure why but neither of those options work for me. As I move my cursor arrow over a playlist, it is highlighted in blue, but as soon as I either left or right-click on it, it opens the playlist immediately. Also not able to drag and drop my sub-node back to the main playlist tab. Is there a patch I should install or something?

Which version of MediaMonkey are you using (Help > About)?
The Playlist will always open, but right click should give you a context menu with Remove as one of the options.

Re: Unable to delete playlist(s)
Thanks Lowlander.
I am using version 3.2.5.1306.
With the playlist open, I have also tried right clicking on its name, but no remove option there either. If I clear all songs from list, list still exists.

Good day
i have a dx100 , before i found media monkey i made a mess of playlists , everything is there dozens of times ,and on this dap i can only delete one item at a time ,which will take an eternity
So i turned to media monkey hoping to clear entire list in a few clicks
,i cant see any clear playlist settings( i downloaded last week so its likely latest version?)
Drive j is inserted sd card , drive k is ibasso internal
For the life of me i cant see where to clear playlist ,perhaps since it wasnt created with media monkey i cant see it ?
Please advise
Cheers

Re: Unable to delete playlist(s)
MediaMonkey doesn't manage external Playlists, instead it stores them in the database. So even if they were scanned in (done with Add/Rescan Files) any Playlists deleted would only be deleted in the Playlists.
You can either scan the Playlists in, delete all playlists (in Windows Explorer search for *.M3U or whatever Playlist format used),then clean up your Playlists in MediaMonkey (one-by-one affair though) and then export them once done or you can use the My Computer node in MediaMonkey which can show M3U Playlists (if enabled to do so under Tools > Options > Appearance). I've never done this, so I don't know if it provides an easier method to manage (delete) your external Playlists.

But it disallows multiple select, so you may find Explorer easier.
