I've just installed MMA and have yet to add any music etc to my device.
MY first question though is how to add podcasts.
Unless I'm mistaken, MMA doesn't appear to have any built in podcast browser or catalog?
In which case do I need to install a different app on my phone to actually download / subscribe to podcasts?
I'd much rather do it all through MMA if that is possible.

Correct, MMA is not a Podcast downloader. You can use MMW to download Podcasts and sync them to the device.

Ah OK.
Perhaps a podcast browser/downloader thing could be a feature in future version/s of MMA?
Meanwhile I'll use "pocket casts" from the google play store which is a really good one.

Re: MMA and podcasts
MMA is mostly considered a "satellite" implementation of Mediamonkey, for listening and minor editing (e.g., star ratings, add to playlist). Most complex functions are done in MMWin, and then synced to MMA.
So there is a podcast browser in MMWin, which you would then sync to your phone. And you can choose whether you want to sync the oldest or most recent, and how many to keep on the phone.
It's not a bad system, but it does mean a lot of features are not available in MMA.

Re: MMA and podcasts
Not a bad description, however MMA is in its infancy. Version 2.0 should give it much more features making it more full featured than it currently is.
