ID3 Tag Genre Winamp Extended List support [#15215]

Hi,
I've been using mediamonkey for several years, but I've never found a way to display the complementary genres corresponding to the extended winamp tag
Instead, mediamonkey displays a number
Is it possible that MediaMonkey supports these additional genres?

Can you please send me one of the files to me (UL somewhere and send me DL link in PM) and I will investigate and analyze.

It is very possible that ID3v2 tag genre is written and MMW preffer that over ID3v1.1 that contained Extended genre list.

Unfortunately I have bad news for you, as it is specific in description of TCON Frame http://id3.org/id3v2.3.0#Text_informati ... _-_details for v2.3.0 http://id3.org/d3v2.3.0 and same section for v2.4.0 http://id3.org/id3v2.4.0-frames which sample files are written.

In Both Files Genre is defined as plain number only which is written in TCON which breaks both Standards. Especially as in both Files there is no Genre Tag for ID3v1.x which can be then used as reference to fill info.

Anyway, according to our policy I'll add this to To-Do as a very low priority fix for MM5 as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=15215

Also MMW should Support most if not all Extended list described in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ID3#Genre ... n_ID3v1[12] if Written according to standard of ID3.org

Hi,
We added support for next MMW version but you would need to rescan those files in Library again, so that MMW can translate numeric value to Text.
