uPnP from NAS not loading all albums [#16126]

Post by Rene3672 »

Hello,

I tried to search for this issue but couldn't find any hint. Sorry if this has been posted already.
I got the MMA Pro and was trying to connect via uPnP with my NAS (Synology). All my music (flac format) is stored there. I have a huge collection with over 2000 albums (classical music).
When I try to access via uPnP and select by Album view, I got a list of the first 100 or so albums then at the end of the list there is the spinning wheel but the rest of my collection will not be loaded / displayed.
I wait for very long time but nothing happened. I feel that the loading process got stuck somehow.
Any one having similar issue or having a clue what the issue could be?
I mainly buy the pro version for this feature actually...

Any hints will be highly appreciated!
Thanks
René

Does it work with other DLNA capable Apps (indicating a Server problem)?

yes.
My HiFi can connect to DLNA server and can access all albums.
I also just tried with another DLNA client on my phone (from Play Store) and it works as well.

When this happens send a debug log from Menu > About MediaMonkey in MMA and reply here with the logID.

Hi,
Added as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=16126
Can you please be more specific what is missing in MMA and what is shown in other DLNA clients on your phone?

Screenshots would be welcome (See my signature on how to add them in forum post)

EDIT: I have tested it on my QNAP and what other DLNA Apps see MMA also see.
Best regards,

Thank you for following up!

I will send a few screenshots when I am back home later today.
But here some more details.
Basically I have 2300+ albums in my music collection on my NAS (Sinology), all in FLAC format
When accessing with MMA (clicking uPnP) I see my NAS displayed. I can select it and then get a list on how to see the music (By Album, By Composers, etc...).
When I select "By Album", I start to see a list of albums. When I scroll down that list, the last album I see is always the same (Beethoven Missa Solemnis). This album is not (alphabetically) not the last one in my collection. Directly below the album I see the spinning wheel, which I interpret as the app is still trying to fetch the rest of the list and is still keeping spinning, I can wait as long as I want, no progress.
As said, I will share the screenshot.

When using another uPnP client (called Hi-Fi Cast), doing the same, I can see (and this pretty quickly) all my albums / music.

Btw with MMA when I try to play some music from the (incomplete) album list, nothing happen. I get the now playing view and no music is played. After a while the app go to next track on that list, nothing happen for a while and then the app jump to the next track again, and this ad libitum.

With Hi-Fi Case, I can select any music and it plays it.
I will share later as well screenshots for that app.

Thank you again!
