The problem is, that you don't tag all songs from a release. If you only choose i.E. 4 songs for tagging, but the album have 10 songs, you need to deselect all other songs in the upper part of the Tagger window.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but i need to change this for better compatibility.
I don't keep full albums in my library. If I like only 4 songs in a 10 song album, I'll discard the 6 songs I don't like if I've ripped a complete album. If I buy music online, I often buy single tracks instead of full albums.

In the examples that I provided, I am attempting to tag less songs than what shows on the album's published playlist, because that's all the songs in my library.

Discogs v5.74 doesn't seem to be bothered by how many songs I'm trying to tag. Whether I'm feeding it 4 out of 10 songs or 10 out of 10 songs, it accurately retrieves the correct metadata for each song from Discogs.
I understand your problem and i understand that you are not happy with this issue.

I changed the matching of the songs, cause with the old matching method there are problems with some albums, i.E. an album with multiple songs having the same songname.

Give me some time, maybe i can add an option to change the matching method.

Neustasr DNS service is blocking access to Discogs with the following error.

This site has been categorized as Hacking/Warez. Site may offer illegal sharing of copyrighted software or media.

Any suggestions besides a different DNS service?

Ask Neustar to re-categorize the webpage.
Maybe they have a category "Private Homepage"

I have an account with Discogs,
I have authorized and gotten the "you have logged in successfully with Discogs!" "AccessTotken" AccessTokenSecret" and GUID.
After I go back to MediaMonkey and click OK I get a pop-up that says:

Code: Select all

Error #-2146697191 - msxml6.dll
Security certificate required to access this resource is invalid

File: "C:\...DiscogsWebTag.vbs, Line 9688, Column 2
I have tried to use MusicBrainz, but it never seems to be able to find what I'm looking for.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. As a side note does anyone know why Amazon is still listed as a search option, since it is no longer supported?
Hi,

sorry for the late answer.

I never saw this error message with DiscogsTagger.

Which Windows Version you have ? Please try to open https://www.germanc64.de with the Internet Explorer Browser. Do you get a error message?
I'm using Windows 10 64 Feature Update 2004, the latest.
The website is for German Commodore 64 games, not sure of the relevance of that, but no errors opening the page.
Again the errors I get are:

Code: Select all

Error #-2146697191 - msxml6.dll
Security certificate required to access this resource is invalid

"&"

File: "C:\...DiscogsWebTag.vbs, Line 9688, Column 2
Since this post was updated I have :
Windows : Version 10.0.19041 Build 19041 (upgraded)
MediaMonkey : Version 4.1.29.1910 (upgraded)
I uninstalled the Discogs extension, uninstalled MediaMonkey; reinstalled MediaMonkey, and Discogs.
I'm still getting the exact same error.

This happens for any and ALL albums I work on. But for arguments sake... The Beatles Past Masters Vol.2 Vinyl. Was trying to unselect the first disk tracks so it would match the second disk I was trying to tag.

Wish it was easier to paste an image into this forum... the first dialog comes up and says "Error #9 - Microsoft VBSscript runtime error / Subscript out of range: 'i' / File "C:\Users\cdb40\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Scripts\DiscogsWebTag.vbs" , Line 7471,Column: 2"

and a "OK" button - which, when clicked, brings up another small dialog "Error executing script event. / Subscript out of range: 'i' "

and then the screen refreshes the same number of times I clicked boxes and lets me continue. And, yes, it does do the tagging.

Thanks,

Chad

Sorry for the late answer. I bought a new PC and the only thing what it does is BSOD all the time....

I searched on the web for this error, but i can't find a solution.
The website germanc64.de is my personal homepage. I programmed the OAUTH interface in php which is needed at Discogs.

Do you have something special in your home environment? A Proxy? A special Firewall?
If not, you could reset your Internet Explorer Security settings to default.

How to reset Internet Explorer (IE) security setting to default value?

Click. "Tools" > "Internet Options".
Go to "Security" Tab.
Click on the “Reset all zone to default level” button.
Click the “Apply” button and then the “OK” button to complete.
Restart IE to make the change.

Wow, okay, I solved the problem!

First off it has nothing to do with IE (The worst browser, so bad that MS does not even make it
anymore...)

Apparently Discogs will not work if you are using a VPN.

It amazes me how many tech companies spout off about big brother watching, and your ISP can see everything you do (USE A VPN) to "Oh us, we don't support using our tech through a VPN, but you should use one, and know how our system will break when you use it so you can debug this yourself!!!!!!!!!!!
